Visit Mommy Lil, Tita Pinky and her kids at Makati (May 16, 2009)

This is the day of the David Cook and David Archuleta concert! But as I was not able to buy a ticket, I did not watch it.

On this day, we visited Mommy Lil, Tita Pinky, Kuya Brian, Joey, Dave, and Jaq at their Makati residence. It was so fun to see the kids again... I love being with them because I play games with them. Hehe. Though the games are mostly silly, they're still fun!Plus, my English skills are somewhat being sharpened since they all speak in English. ^__^

Thanks to Mommy Lil and Tita Pinky for the yummy pansit! :)

Mangan. Angels and Demons. SM Mall of Asia. (May 15, 2009)

This day was a very busy day for me. I woke up early and ran some errands for The Manila Collegian. I was able to buy a brand-new Nikon D60, a digital voice recorder, and other stuff in time for the CEGP National Congress, which I was not able to attend. Hehe. Still, there were 5 from The Manila Collegian who were able to go to the 5-day congress.

When I was about to go home, my brother Mikey texted me that they're on their way to SM Mall of Asia. And I immediately rode a cab just to get there on time. :) I followed them to Mangan where they were already ordering early dinner. Tita Wilma was there with us as well us the driver named Alex.

Tita Wilma ordered a little of everything... and that summed up to a lot! :) Fortunately, we were able to finish everything... but with bigger tummies afterward. Hehe We were THAT full! Thank you Tita Wilma!

We were going to watch a movie daw so I suggested that we watch Angels and Demons since it's the first day of showing. We bought the tickets 5 minutes late... so we waited for the next showing time. And while waiting, we went around the mall first--Trisha and I went with Tita Wilma, Mikey and Patrick went with Tito Raff. I don't know where Alex went... he prolly went with the boys. We were set to meet 45 minutes later.

After 30 minutes, the boys were already at Cinema 1... and asked us to go there already since the line was pretty long. We met up with them and entered the cinema and took our seats.

Fast forward, the movie ended more or less 2 hours later. And all I can say was "WOW!" It was really good. I mean the suspense and all the effects... man! So nice! :) Mind you, I read the book prior to watching the movie so I also know which parts didn't make it to the movie and which were modified. Overall rating: 4 stars. That's pretty good for a book-turned-movie kind of movie.

So there... we went home afterward... and slept. :D Pretty tiring yet fun day!

Lunch and Shopping at SM Sucat... then to Olive's Plaza (May 14, 2009)

Tito Raff arrived night May 12 midnight here in the Philippines... He just dropped off a box and his luggage here and then went to the Greenhills house since Tita Wilma will be sleeping there. :) They have a lot of things to do on this trip/vacation in the country. So Tito Raff, who usually stays with us in Paranaque while Tita Wilma stays in Greenhills, arrived home the night of May 13.Chika-chika and all that... it was really late so we weren't able to do more meaningful stuff. LOL

The next day, we went out to have lunch at Bacolod Chicken Inasal at SM Sucat... then bought some pants and clothes and groceries as well. It was really a nice day! The day made us all feel bright and cheerful and hopeful. I really miss Tito Raff! He's been like a father to us and he treats us like his own sons and daughters... He's really kind and he's the best! [He's really our grandfather, being the brother of my father's mother, but we call him and his wife Tito and Tita... Well, mainly because that's how it is in our family.]

After shopping, we dropped by Mercury Drug Store at Olive's Plaza so Mommy, Papa, and Tito Raff could go buy some medicines. While they were in the store, Mariah, Trisha, and I were taking pictures in the car. ^__^

Then at night, we all slept in Mommy's room... and tried to watch Trisha's graduation video but never got around to finishing it since the DVD somehow "freezes" and "crashes".

Anyway, check out my abnormal silly sisters... trying to grow their own beard. Haha!

Busy Day Today! :)

Today... I woke up at 7am. :) Pretty early considering it's summer vacation. Hehe.

But then, I had tons of errands to do. Anyway, the end result was really satisfying. We, The Manila Collegian, now have our own DSLR--a Nikon D60 at that! :D Bought the last stock in a store in Hidalgo... so we got a discount. Pretty cool too coz it has free 4gb memory card, free bag, etc etc and the best part: 2 years service warranty. :D Now, I want something like that for myself. But lugging around for almost a day made me realize that something that big and heavy is not the camera for me. Hehe. I want something light... and fun... and small. :D And cute. Like me. Ahem.

Kidding aside, I just want my own cool camera. But then, I gotta save up for that. :)

Also, we now have our own Digital Voice Recorder that can go on recording for 280 hours! :D Cool huh? That's pretty long. Hehe.

So after that, I met up with Arvin to give the stuff to him. They're gonna use it for the May 16-20 CEGP Congress. I was supposed to attend that one... but I gotta spend time with Tito Raff and Tita Wilma who are in the Philippines right now... They're like our second set of parents. :D

Hehe. And it's cool to go places with Tita Wilma because we're using their cars with 8 as license plates. We could go inside villages even without stickers. We also have some sort of MMDA immunity. Color coding and other rules do not apply.

We're always looking forward to being with Tita Wilma and Tito Raff because they're the kindest couple I know. :) They're so generous... and really treats us like their own kids. I wish they'd live here in the Philippines when Tito Raff retires. But then, they have more than 5 houses all over the world. But then again, they'd probably stay in Hawaii and Philippines. Going back and forth from time to time. I gotta spend more time with them... they're gonna stay here for only 2 weeks. :( And then it'll be a long time again till we see them. :(

Anyway, after meeting with Arvin, I went directly to SM Mall of Asia and met Tita Wilma, Tito Raff, Mikey, Patrick, Trisha, and the driver. Had early dinner at Mangan. We stayed there for prolly more than an hour... there was so much food! :D Then we bought tickets to see Angels & Demons. But then the movie will start screening in about an hour pa so we went around shopping muna. Met outside the cinema a few minutes before 7 and went in all together. :) The movie was sooo great! I love it! :) Of course I still prefer the movie... but now, I'd treat them as separate entities. Hehe. I love the movie and book version all the same. :)

So we finished the movie around 9:30... went to the parking lot. And would you imagine we kinda got lost there? Haha. :)

Neway, gotta go sleep now. Good night!

Using the Eyeliner for a Wing Effect (May 08, 2009)

I haven't tried this look in a long time simply because it's very dramatic. :P

You cannot go out in the day wearing that much eyeliner around the eyes. Hehe. Anyway, I had nothing to do at home so I put some makeup on... and voila! A variation of the wing effect... makes me look half-Egyptian half-Chinese. Lolz. :P

What do you think? :)

Ako Mismo is a patriotic initiative anchored on optimism. It is a battle against indifference and the feeling that the individual is helpless. Amidst all the bad news and negativism gripping the nation, Ako Mismo provides a refreshing message of hope and empowerment. It is an apolitical and inclusive movement to energize and rejuvenate Filipinos, especially the youth, and move them to action. Fun while waiting for the boat... (April 16, 2009)

While waiting for the pump boat, we took pictures and played some games. I forgot what they're called. Something like ice water or whatever. I'm not familiar with it. :P

Just check out our pics below. :)

We had so much fun while waiting... then when the boat came we also took some pictures but maybe I'll upload them next time. When we got back to the city, we had dinner at Deco's--a very nice restaurant which serves La Paz Batchoy and Pre-War Pan de sal.

We then went to rest soon after. We woke up a little bit late the next day but it was a good thing that the other delegates haven't left yet. We were all ready to leave and it was a good hour before our scheduled flight that we got to the airport. :)

But there was another problem there. We weren't allowed to board because we haven't paid the "no show" fee back in Manila. It was a good thing that Ate Shan and the other volunteers were able to come up with a certain amount to cover the fee. It was only 10 minutes prior to departure time that our luggage were boarded and that we were given the boarding pass. When we got through, we were like playing in Amazing Race. hehe. We were literally running in the airport to the terminal. :P

When we got in the plane... *whew!* what a relief!

We arrived around 40 minutes after...

Welcome home! :)

Ride from Raymen Beach Resort to the Port (April 16, 2009)

The ride was really long.. an hour or so, I guess.

We stopped over at the Manggahan Festival area to eat lunch... :) It was a nice area where we bought some more pasalubong and stuff. :) The mangoes were really really sweet and looks like they're photoshopped. Except that they're real and beautiful! :)

Guimaras is really a wonderful island. I wanna go back sometime soon. :)

Island Hopping: Part 3 (April 16, 2009)

Here are the pictures taken in Ave Maria. :) Such a great place to swim... we were already far from the shore yet the water was still shallow. :D

Very clear water too... and the sand is so fine. Perfect for walking. :)

By the way, the place is called Ave Maria because there is a grotto in the island.

Island Hopping: Part 1 (April 16, 2009)

We decided to go Island Hopping for 2 hours. :)

There will be 4 albums all about our island hopping escapade. Hehe... But I'll be listing here the places we went to.

We went first to the Sea Turtle Sanctuary with the Pawikan Caring and Feeding Station. It was an exciting trip because it was my first time to sea and touch a pawikan! :D We just took some pictures with it then we returned it to their cage so they could swim again. :) They are so wonderful! Their shells have very nice color formations... :) And they live in harmony with other fishes...

We then passed by Fairy Castle Island and then we went to Ave Maria Island. :) It's a very serene and undisturbed island... We went for a swim there. The water was clear and the sand was pure white. There were no rocks there so it was a really nice place to swim. Plus the beach is so shallow. We were already far from the shore yet the water was still below my head. :P

We then went to Baras Cave where there were so many bats. You can actually smell their guano. :P We took some pictures there but the water was so smelly that's why we decided against swimming there. The rock formations are very nice! :) You should go Island Hopping to see for yourself. :)

After that we passed by Baras Beach Resort... Some resorts are really private and looked expensive. hehe. We didn't go and stay there na lang.

We also passed by Turtle Island, Sol Y Luna Island, Natago Beach and Isla Naburot. :)

Island Hopping was my favorite part of the trip. It made me appreciate Philippines more... why would people want to leave Philippines to go abroad when our country is much much more pleasant and well off?

Filipinos should take a trip around the Philippines and see that we are so rich in everything. Our culture and heritage plus our own country itself is so beautiful. :) Diba diba?

We don't need to go out when our economy is far better than US now. People there are scrambling for work... and though there are lots of unemployed here as well, people are generally happier here than there. Ah basta. Most of my friends visiting US advised me against going there to work because they're really in a bad situation and they asked me not to get involved there. Oh well... seems like they're right. It's time to explore the Philippines and tap our natural reserves so we could get far ahead of them in this time of crisis. Harhar. We have the potential of being the next super country. :D We just have to maximize our resources. :D

Okay enough about that. :) See my next posts na lang. :D

At the Raymen Beach Resort (April 16, 2009)

We arrived at the Raymen Beach Resort after an hour... we checked out the other delegates first and saw that they rented a hut. They were all so cramped there... :( Someone told us that we should get our own... I got a bit sad about that comment though. We weren't intending to share with them anyway. But you know, they made it appear that they don't wanna share with us. :(

Anyway, we ate breakfast first then rented our own hut just beside them. hehe... Then we asked them that if they want, they could sleep in our hut since we won't be staying there long. We'll just be leaving our things there and then go out for a swim. :)

We went out immediately and the water was so nice! White sand with clear blue water!!! :D Yummy!!! We immediately dived in... hehe. Then we saw some boats arriving... we went to the shore first then when they're already settled there waiting for passengers to board, we partied beside the hull. :D The moving water plus the light being reflected made the the boat's hull look like a disco ball!!! :D Since the boat has some groovy beats, we partied there. Hehe. :D

When the boats went away, we went to the shore. Pao and I were sitting still when the boys decided to cover us up with sand!!! They made us into mermaids. Hehe. :D

We stayed in the waters and we visited the other resort there. We also swam to another area which is kind of a secluded area. :) There's a cave there and basta it's a nice place. It was just hard to go to that area since the rocks were all so, well, rocky. :P We had some bruises and cuts since we held on to the rocks for support... it was a good few meters away and the water was deep so we needed support to get to the other side. :P

Anyway, it was all worth it because the area was really beautiful! :D The sand there and the stones were a bit yellowish... but it's okay. :) We gathered some shells and placed them on top of rocks. Hehe

When we got tired, we went back to the other side and vowed that we would not return to that secluded area again. We made sand castles, which eventually turned into sand babies. Hehe.

When we had nothing more to do, we went back to the hut to see what the other delegates were up to. They told us that a jeep will be coming at around 1 or 2 pm to get us back to the port. :) The time was just 10 am. So my friends and I decided to go Island Hopping for 2 hours. (Pictures will be uploaded in the next album.)

When we got back from Island Hopping, we saw some cute necklaces and bracelets... see the pictures below. They're beautiful but so pricey... so I didn't but any. :P

Then, we decided to take a shower. But the shower area has a fee!!! Damn... being so cheapskates and all, we decided to go to the public area to shower with the other delegates. hehe. :D We had fun though. See the pictures below. :) They have a poso there and we took turns pumping water out of it. :D

After that, we changed clothes and went to the jeep waiting for us outside the resort.

Oh and by the way, the resort has an entrance fee of 10 pesos! :D Would you believe that? It's so cheap!!! :D But the waters beyond was really a gem! :)

On our way to Guimaras! (April 16, 2009)

We were supposed to wake up at 4am so we'll be ready to leave the dorm by 5:30am. However, since we were tired last night we overslept and woke at 5:30am instead! Pao and I immediately changed clothes and placed our things in a plastic bag so if they get wet later it'll be okay. Then I texted the boys to wake up. Luckily, we were all ready 15 minutes later. The ride to the port was 15 minutes... and we're lucky too that the 6am pump boat was still boarding! :D

Hurray! We're on our way to Guimaras!

The ride was smooth and sunrise was a sight to behold as well.

When we got off the boat, we waited for the jeep to take us to Raymen Beach Resort where the other UP delegates stayed last night.

*While waiting for the other passengers to get on the jeep, we noticed a minicab named "Prencess Joy". ^__^

Now in Iloilo City! (April 15, 2009)

After we checked in at the dorm, we decided to tour Iloilo City first before we go to Guimaras since we have the whole next day to visit Guimaras, which is just 1 pump boat away. :)

After our trip, we realized that we probably had the better plan than the rest who went to Guimaras immediately. :)

We went first to SM Iloilo to buy our pasalubongs... then we decided to check out SM itself. It looks like SM Manila and the people in Iloilo are all so friendly and we really love their singsong voice. :)

Anyway, we looked around and around and then decided to watch a movie and then go eat dinner at Jo's Inato. :) We went to the movie area and decided to watch "The Unborn". The movie ticket costs around 80 pesos only! Really cheap! And the theater was well-equipped and looks and feels new! Just like the movie theaters in SM Mall of Asia! :D Real bargain!

So there... the movie was great and funny at the same time. We kept on mentioning Jumby all throughout the night. And we were like crazy people imagining that we have an imaginary friend called Jumby. :P It was funny though. :D

So after watching the movie, we went to Jo's Inato to have dinner. We saw in the Smile magazine in Cebu Pacific that it was the best place to have dinner. We didn't have any idea what Inato means so we were hoping a different kind of menu aside from chicken. But lo and behold. It was chicken after all! :P Inato is like inasal!

We ordered each their specialty, a dish of Jo's Inato which is chicken inasal with unlimited steamed rice. We also tried something different: Manok sa buko, which is similar to chicken tinola except that they used buko juice as soup base. :) It was very yummy and sweet!

Sobrang busog talaga kami! :D We were thinking of having halo-halo for dessert pa pero super busog na so hindi na lang. We were there for about 2 hours na rin kasi.

We had a hard time finding a jeep to take us back to UP but we found an empty jeep and the driver drove us directly to UP. :D How kind of him right?

When we arrived, we took a bath and decided to wake up early just so we could take the 6am pump boat the next day to Guimaras. :D

Still in Miag-ao (April 15, 2009)

On this day, the Kule peeps are the first ones to wake up and eat breakfast. ^__^ We wanted to maximize our time. We ate early... then we waited for a chance to interview Ate Shan. But she's still busy so we asked someone what our agenda for the day is. She told us that we'll be leaving Miag-ao by 1pm. Bus arrives at 1pm but we all have to check out by 12noon. Before that, we have the time to ourselves. :)

We planned on visiting Miag-ao Church but since they told us that we'll be dropping by there later on our way home, we decided to visit the Miag-ao beach again.

We went back to the dorm and in 10 minutes we were ready to take a swim! :D We really slathered sunblock on our skin to prevent skin damage caused by UV rays. Off we went to the beach!

We had so much fun there! The beach was like all to ourselves... except for a few locals who were out playing as well. Anyway, the water was sooo clear and the sky... my oh my. The view was really perfect. And the sun was up but we slathered sunblock prior to going out so we didn't get 10 shades darker. Hehe.

Pao and I were our usual playful self. I miss Pao. She makes me feel like a kid again. hehe The others treated like I'm their mom during the trip kasi. :P

A few meters away, we saw a boat! :D So we took some pictures there... and then we heard a hoard of snickers. Turns out that the locals we saw playing earlier were the ones who own the boat. They then signaled that it's okay for us to borrow it. They even shouted that we could go ride in it. Thanks but no thanks.

After a while, we went back and joined the others. We saw Austin and MK taking pictures in a larger boat! :D And they were so far out from the shore already so we helped them go back to the shore by tugging on the rope. They couldn't just jump out because the water is filled with those black jellyfishes. We played tug-of-war for a bit... with the water current as our opponent. Lolz. :P

Then some boys went out for a ride on the much smaller boat... when they got back, they played around with the black and blue jellyfish and they tried to "mate" them. Poor thing. :(

Pao and I were pleading to get them back in the waters so they won't die. Eventually, the boys tired of playing with them and they gave it back to Mother Ocean. See the blue jellyfish below... it's a rare sight!

Since it was almost 11:30, we decided to go back to the dorm. But first we passed by the lady mermaid statue. I'm sorry but I forgot what it's called. :P It's a symbol of their pioneer courses--fisheries and ocean studies. Anyway, we took some pictures with it then went to "facade" with the bushes shaped as "UP VISAYAS". Took some pictures with it as well. Then the last pic is something I grabbed from MK's Facebook account... it's a picture of the Oblation and a building behind it. A replica of the Quezon Hall in UP Diliman. :) When you see it, you'd think you're in Diliman. :D

So we went back to the dorm. Took a bath AGAIN. Then packed our bags. It was 12:30 when we decided to have some lunch at Heaven's Bliss. A very nice place to eat since they serve meals at the price of 27 pesos! Really heaven! :D

After that, we waited for the bus and then we were on our way back to Iloilo City.

We were supposed to visit Miag-ao Church but since a delegate from UPLB has a flight scheduled to leave at 3pm and the time was already 2pm, we skipped the Church. It will take him 2 hours to go to the airport. I hope he was able to get there on time though.

Pictures taken in Iloilo City are coming right up! :)

General Assembly of Student Councils: Afternoon Session (April 14, 2009)

After the break, we started the grilling of individual nominees. First came Chaba... then Bikoy. Each session lasted for an hour and 30 minutes. With a break in-between. The grilling part was very entertaining and education as well.

After that came dinner combined with the decision-making part. Each unit has to come up with their vote... and that lasted for almost 2 hours. After dinner, each autonomous unit gave 2 votes and each regional unit gave 1 vote. It was really a unanimous decision... for Chaba. :D What a victory! She really got the mandate of all the units... :)

The nominees were then asked to go in and the "winner" was declared. :) Then came the initial consultation with the Student Regent-Select then picture-taking sessions followed by the UP Naming Mahal. :)

What a day! The GASC was a success and we ended at 10pm. We're happy because we got it finished in a day... that means our next 2 days are free!!! :D

After the assembly, my friends and I decided to eat at OMPS (O Maria Patawarin nyo Po Sila)... and the UPM delegates followed after. hehe. We were all hungry after such a long day.

I think I ordered Chicken Inasal... with mushroom soup. Their mushroom soup has sesame oil on top of it. Weird right? But they don't use fish sauce there as one of their condiments... that I noticed. What they serve usually are vinegar, soy sauce, and sesame oil. :P

We went back to the dorm after an hour... discussed the day for a while and prepared interview questions then went to bed. :) Happy day the next day!

Miag-ao Beach (April 14, 2009)

After lunch, we went back to College of Fisheries... but there was yet again a power interruption. With the 1-hour (anticipated) break, we decided to go to the beach. According to locals, there are 132 steps to the beach. We asked for directions, but we got lost anyway. Hehe. We were given the wrong direction at first so we were really lucky that we found a way down the shore. :P

It was really fun there! We discovered that we weren't the only ones who decided to visit the beach. Some friends from Diliman... and the nominees are also there! We just took some pictures and Pao and I walked and played a bit since we're the only ones not wearing pants. :P Good thing right?

Anyway, the beach is nice. Very peaceful. Not a tourist/commercial spot, which is good. Some peace. ^__^ We saw a fisherman catching little fishes... I dunno what for, but he's the one in yellow below.

Then on the shore, we also saw a porcupine puffer fish. It was already dead... Poor thing. :( But we were careful in touching it because it has toxins. Anyway, we also caught a jellyfish, which more or less looks like Jell-O. It's a black strange jellyfish with no stings(?) or side arms or whatever you call those.

When the 1 hour break is over, we went back up the stairs and counted 1 to 132. Wow! :D That was really cool!

General Assembly of Student Councils: Morning Session (April 14, 2009)

Now this is the day we've all been waiting for!

The assembly was set to start at an earlier time... but since the delegates from Visayas and Mindanao areas were still not present, the assembly started at 10am. :)

First, there was a roll call of UP Student Councils from UP Baguio to UP Mindanao. Then, there was an approval of the agenda, which is to select a Student Regent following CRSRS.

Then, Hon. Shahana Abdulwahid, presented a brief report of the 2008 Student Regent. Reading of CRSRS should follow but since everyone was provided with copies of it in the kit and since it would waste valuable time, the CRSRS was not read, as decided upon by the assembly.

After that was the presentation of the Vision-Mission papers of Student Regent nominees:

Charisse Bernadine I. Bañez
UP Los Baños

Victor Lorenzo L. Villanueva
UP Diliman

Everyone in attendance was also provided with copies of both papers in the kit. :)

Then came the system-wide deliberation process which consisted of grilling of the nominees with both of them present, then grilling of each individual. This is actually the best part. :P

Several questions were raised... most of them are related to their mission-vision paper. :)

After the grilling of both nominees, we went out to have lunch. Yummy! At this stage, we're already expert on guessing what our meals will be---chicken! :D Iloilo seems to be heaven for chicken meat lovers. :D The best meal actually for me is breakfast... because it's served with hot Milo. :D

Anyway, more pictures in my next posts.

Kasama sa UP National Council Meet (April 13, 2009)

KSUP NC Meet was held at College of Fisheries. :) From 10 am to around 7 pm with lunch break and dinner afterwards. :)

First they had a caucus per unit to have a Unit Report of the past academic year. In UPM, I thought that we have so many problems... but when I heard about the events occurring in other UP units, I realized that UP Manila has a better and kinder administration... and that there's not much repression unlike in UP Diliman, UP Baguio, and most of all, UP Los Baños.

Session was interrupted in the afternoon due to the daily 1-hour power interruption.

All in all, learned a lot of things here... This was a very educational day. :)

From UP Visayas to UP Miag-ao (April 13, 2009)

Our bus was set to leave at 7am so we'd get to UP Miag-ao in time for the Kasama sa UP National Council Meet set at 9am. Miag-ao is an hour away from Iloilo City... we had fun taking pictures and riding the non-aircon bus as well. The air is so clean and fresh! :D

The nice building you see below is actually a library and a sort of museum or something. It was previously the City Hall of Iloilo City (sounds redundant) and it was donated to UP. :) I dunno what it's called but it's very nice and I love its architecture.

On the way to Iloilo (April 12, 2009)

Pictures taken by: William Dadia, Marikris De Guzman, and Jean Monique Sanchez

Last April 12-17 was our trip to Iloilo for the Kasama sa UP National Council Meet and the General Assembly of Student Councils (GASC).

I met up with the other delegates at around 1 pm at NAIA Centennial Terminal 3 for our (supposed) 4:30pm flight. When we were about complete as group, we went inside to get our boarding pass. Lo and behold. We were left behind by the airplane! Our flight was supposedly 4:30am! Now that's a big problem since we had to book the nearest schedule of flight which still has more or less 30 seats vacant. Fortunately, they were able to fix the problem and we were able to board the 6:20 pm Cebu Pacific flight 5J 459.

Inside the plane, it was cool there. Although a bit cramped but I was reading a book so everything's fine. We're all comfortable inside anyway. Most of the delegates were sleeping though. During the second half hour on air I was already starting to get dizzy. I dunno why... it was so painful so I was really relieved when the plane touched down. I couldn't wait to get out of the plane. Claustrophobic attack perhaps?

Travel was about an hour and we arrived at the Iloilo Airport around 7:30 pm. After getting our luggage, we went outside and we rode the UP Visayas vans to UP in the Visayas, which is an hour away from the airport.

When we got there, we checked in at Balay Ilonggo and deposited our bags in our rooms. Then we all went out to Smallville, their "gimik" spot there. We ate at Mang Inasal... And the food was really superb. The prices there are relatively cheaper--like 30% off Manila rates! And the chicken was bigger and juicier too! :D We were all full after eating dinner so some of us decided to walk back to our dormitory. I went back riding a tricycle since I was wearing heels. ^__^

Their dormitories were very nice. Girls stayed on the second level and guys were on the ground floor. :) The dorm has a living room equipped with a TV (with a viewing schedule). The girls' dorm rooms are spacious... with cabinets and a nice bed. :) There was also an electric fan so it was cool. We took a bath to refresh ourselves then went to bed afterwards. We have to wake up early since our bus leaves 7am the next day for UP Miag-ao.

Restaurant City: Combo Hack -- HACK PATCHED

By now, I think you're already familiar with Cheat Engine 5.5. So I'm not going to post pictures anymore since it wastes a lot of time and it's vital that I share this information immediately since bugs are fixed at a faster rate than in Pet Society. Some cheats will work for only 2 days!!! So grab the chance now to do this! :D

This is for Restaurant City players in Facebook, by the way. And the instructions are relatively easy.

WHAT YOU'LL GET HERE:
-Multiple addition and subtraction rating points
-Multiple addition and subtraction Gourmet points
-Multiple addition coins
-Speed combo hack

Requirements:
Adobe Flash Player 9 (Cheat Engine doesn't work with the latest version 10. If you currently have Flash Player 10, uninstall it. Go to Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs. Find the program Flash Player 10 ActiveX/Plugin and uninstall both. Install Flash Player 9.)
Cheat Engine 5.5
Mozilla Firefox 3.0 (Firefox is required since the cheat doesn't work well with Internet Explorer.)

Instructions:
1. Open Restaurant City in Facebook.
2. Play a bit. It's essential that you're actively earning money and points in the game with this cheat.
3. In Cheat Engine 5.5, select Firefox as the program.
4. Click the Hex box to put a check on it. Paste this on hex field: FFFFFFB8D02A0FF2
5. Value Type: 8 Bytes
6. Check "Also Scan Read-Only-Memory"
7. Click "First Scan".
8. An address will appear. Right-click then DISASSEMBLE.

13. Do it again for DB85000000F4998B
14. Copy and paste the address to the third (and last) box in the Code Generator.
15. By this time, you should already have 3 addresses on the Code Generator. Hit Enviar (Send) button and a code will appear. Copy code.
16. Go to Cheat Engine, click the description area (it's the large blank area at the bottom part of Cheat Engine) then paste code.

Options will appear such as "+100", "-100", "Raiting", and "Speed".

To increase popularity, check "Raiting".
To increase Gourmet Points and Cash, check "+100" and "Speed".
To decrease Gourmet Points, check "-100" and "Speed". This is a better way to earn money.

That's it. Enjoy!

Pet Society: Coins Hack (noob-friendly guide) -- HACK PATCHED (meaning: NOT WORKING ANYMORE)

UPDATE: This is the new hex code: B045110FF2AC5D89. Do not use the hex code I wrote below. :) Also click here for the new step-by-step guide.

- - - - -

Okay, here's the best part. After getting to Level 47, you need some coins to furnish your new rooms. :D So the best way to do that is to get tons of coins. If you won't cheat, you'll take forever to buy the items that you want. :P

So with this hack, you'll get millions of coins... but you don't need that much so don't be greedy. You can bring your coins up to 200,000 or up to 400,000 and that is way more than enough. :)

Here we go.

1. Open Pet Society in Facebook.
2. Sell an apple.
3. Open Cheat Engine 5.5.
4. Select Program (firefox.exe)

Numbers indicate order.

5. Click the Hex box to put a check on it. Paste this on hex field: 840FFF85C12A0FF2
6. Value Type: 8 Bytes
7. Check "Also Scan Read-Only-Memory"
8. Click "First Scan"

9. You'll get 3-4 addresses. Right-click the THIRD one and DISASSEMBLE it.

10. Another window will show up. Right click the highlighted part. Choose GO TO ADDRESS.

11. Copy the address from the box. Then click OK.

12. Go to Pet Society Code Generator.
13. Paste code.
14. Click Generate.

15. Copy the code. [The code shown is just a sample. It is dependent on the address that you input.]

16. Go back to Cheat Engine.
17. Choose address from Step 10.
18. Go to TOOLS --> AUTO ASSEMBLE.

19. Paste the code from Step 15. DO NOT CLICK EXECUTE.

20. Go to FILE then ASSIGN TO CURRENT CHEAT TABLE.

21. Close the Auto Assemble window. Minimize the Memory Viewer window.
22. On the Cheat Engine window, scan down and you will find "Auto assemble cheat" under description.
23. Right click. Choose "Set hot key".

24. In the box put "X". The X key is used to toggle the cheat on/off. [Test if the hot key works. If it does not work, remove hot key then set it again.]

25. Now go and visit a friend.
26. Before clicking HUG, go to Cheat Engine window and press X to enable cheat.
27. Click HUG.
28. The game freezes. Count 1-3 seconds then press X again to disable cheat. (DON'T LET THE GAME FREEZE LONGER THAN 3 SECONDS or the game will not save.)
29. You will notice your coins increase to hundreds of thousands. :D (Tip: Do not go over 3 million coins. And do not visit more than 5 friends with this action. For this cheat to work, the visit should be first time for that day. If you've already visited that friend on the same day, wait 24 hours then try again.)
30. Go back home and SAVE. (Sometimes, the game will fail to save. If the saving time is long, retry saving for 5 times, then refresh your window. The money will already be saved. But if the saving time is short, retry the cheat.)
30. Enjoy!

See my pet below. Notice the coins and the level. :)

Pet Society: Paw Points Hack (noob-friendly guide) -- HACK PATCHED (meaning: NOT WORKING ANYMORE)

Maybe some of you have noticed how I've instantly gotten around to Level 47 (the highest level) in Pet Society. Considering that I was way down the bottom rank before. Since I've been enjoying Pet Society with my 9-room house and an unlimited supply of coins, I decided to help out other friends. Just sharing the good news.

Before, I just new of the coins hack. But it's kinda tedious to do. So first, I'll be explaining how to get to Level 47... by just buying 2 apples. Reminder, this will only work once. After this you'll have around 4000 coins and 19210569 Paw Points added to what you currently have.

1. Open Pet Society in Facebook.
2. Go to Food Shop.
3. Buy 1 Apple.
4. Open Cheat Engine 5.5.
5. Select Program (firefox.exe)

Numbers below indicate order.
6. Click the Hex box to put a check on it. Paste this on hex field: 840FFF85C12A0FF2
7. Value Type: 8 Bytes
8. Check "Also Scan Read-Only-Memory"
9. Click "First Scan"

Numbers below indicate order.

10. Two addresses will show up. Right-click on the second address and DISASSEMBLE it.

11. Another window will show up. At the point where it is highlighted, right click on that and select CHANGE REGISTER AT THIS LOCATION. Then CONFIRM the attach to debugger action.

12. Another window will show up. Find the value ECX. Put a check mark beside it. And paste this: -FF6D7011 (The negative sign is very important unless you want your paw points to be negative too!)

13. Click OK.
14. Buy another apple. Voila! Instant Level 47!
15. Go home and SAVE. :D Happy playing!
