 Congrats friends. Ang galing nyo talaga! :) When ang party? Hehe. :) Congratulations to all the board passers! Mabuhay!

After a long time...

I'm back and blogging again. :)

I miss blogging. It's just that I haven't found time to really write long entries. Most of the time, I'm only plurking and plurking. (See my account at http://www.plurk.com/jeanmonique) With plurk, I can sum up my feelings in 140 characters. Hehe. Not much substance but sometimes, it's the perfect spot for me to share what and how I feel.

I miss him. We had a fight last night. Basically because I was really disappointed with the way things are going between us. I just wish that time will soon come for us to be together again. When will be the time that we'll be able to show the world how we truly feel for each other?

Sometimes, I tend to be so wrapped up in my own world in school that I forget to think of others who are also part of my life. I'm sorry... I hope you understand that with all the problems that I have, being alone is probably the only thing that would make me sane at times.

But that doesn't mean that I hate your company. In fact, I prefer having company than being alone. I just miss the times that we're together. I miss the way we hug... kiss... and more hugs.

I miss you.

A night hanging out with Alfred (January 17, 2009)

Yesterday, I was already up by 6am. Met with Kuya Raymond at 9am. Met with Alfred around 10am for the shirts. Went to UP Manila. Had lunch at 11am with Rizza and Giselle at Red Ribbon. Study study...

Microbiology Lec Exam at 1pm. Supposed to last for 1 hour and 30 minutes but I went out after an hour. I couldn't extract anything more eh. Huhuhu.

Tambay mode at CP Lobby watching Pharm people dance for Sayaw Manila. Ang galing pala ni Cedrix sumayaw! Hehe.

Was supposed to go the Plurker's EB at Demi's place. Kaya lang, it's in Paranaque pa and I have to meet Alfred and Kuya Raymond again at 6pm yesterday. Huhu.

So I went to MoMo instead and stayed there for 2 hours. I was studying naman... so okay lang. Couldn't stand sitting for 2 hours straight so I walked around Robinson's. I could stand walking and shopping than sitting for 2 hours and writing. Lolz.

6pm na and Kuya Raymond will be late daw. So I went to Powerbooks instead and read a book about bags and collecting them. Alfred went to Powerbooks at around 7pm to meet me. Thank goodness. I've got company na. I hate being alone by myself. :(

We went shopping first... Grabe pala magshopping ang lalake. Pag nakita na ang gusto, yun na agad. Haha. Ang bilis. Pero nahirapan kami pumili ng top for him. Maarte kasi. Lolz. But we got a good one from Maldita. :D Bagay sa kanya!

At around 8 or 9pm, we went to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and I ordered The Ultimate Mocha Ice Blended for me and Extreme Mocha Ice Blended for him. Stayed there till Kuya Raymond arrived at 10pm. :D Uber kwentuhan and tawanan mode lang naman kami. Haha!

At around 10:30, Kuya arrived and we met with him at MoMo. He told me he was going to treat me to dinner but I honestly didn't feel like eating eh. Too tired and sleepy already that time. Sorry Kuya, next time. :) He ordered salad to go. :)

Went home after that. I rode a cab, and dun sya sa motor nya. Ang funny coz naabutan nya yung cab ko. Parang may chaperone tuloy ako. Haha.

Haay... sleep at last. :)

What my Study Desk looks like... (January 14, 2009)

I was in the University Library this time. And I was rewriting my Microbiology Lecture notes.

- brown envelope on the left side (but I usually place it on the right side)
- my "everything" notebook
- my Microbiology lecture notebook
- pencil case
- black and blue ink pens (color coded notes)
- correction fluid (very essential to keep things neat!)
- ruler (for tables)
- ID (just in case I'd be borrowing a book)
- tissue (for washroom trips)
- bracelet (can't leave home without one. But I remove it when I'm writing something.)
- coin purse (where I keep coins and receipts)
- wallet (where everything else is)

That's all. :P Before, I'd bring my kikay kit pa inside. But not anymore... I do touch-ups outside. Hehe. So I'd be bringing in less baggage inside. :D

With the Dogs (January 12, 2009)

Wore a lab gown on my way home coz my uniform got a stain. Boohoo!

Anyway, when I arrived home, I couldn't help but be awed by the kawaii-ness of the puppies. So in the tradition of Monique, took pictures with them including Ginny, their mother. :D

AKKAP GA (January 09, 2009)

Mommy Yns was so noisy and talkative that she was forced to put a tape across her lips. :P But she didn't stop being noisy at all.

We should use duct tape next time. Hehe. :P

Taught Eizel the wonders of mascara... (January 08, 2009)

Showed Eizel how to use mascara and eyelash curler. Hehe. :D She has super fabulous eyelashes which are long albeit thin. Anyway, look at her pretty eyes! :D

Then, around 6pm, met up with a business client at Starbucks, near CCP. Ordered Hot White Chocolate Mocha. :) Yummy... although it's just too sweet!

Lunch with Angelo and Berns at Tokyo Tokyo (January 07, 2009)

Just realized how takaw they both are! Imagine Parao ate 4 servings of rice and Berns almost 3 servings! Lolz! :D

Masyadong masaya yung waiter kaya dinamihan ang servings. :P

Spotted Zoe and her friend across at Chef D'Angelo... but couldn't leave these 2 mokongs. Boo! Di ko tuloy nabati si Zoe... at si Maple ata yung isa. Haha!

January 04, 2009

Family Day (January 04, 2009)

The whole family, except Papa who was sleeping, went to Church. :) Then, ate lunch at SEx (Sinangag Express) at Donya Soledad Ave. in Bicutan. Sheesh... They have such bad service. :)

Then when it's time to get the bill, Mama told us that we don't have money to pay for lunch. OMG. Kinakabahan talaga ko... even after she pulled out 500 pesos from her pocket. Grabe. :P What a joke. Haha. :D

Then went to SM Bicutan after. It's great big sale... Kaya lang have no money. *sniff* But I bought a new book by James Patterson called Kiss the Girls. Yey! I'm collecting James Patterson and Sue Grafton novels kasi. :D

Went home afterwards... then cleaned the puppies. Happy happy day. Can't believe that I'll be going back to school in 2 days. Waah... So much more things to do pa. :(

Bonding with Eizel and Steph (January 03, 2008)

Was supposed to go to SM Mall of Asia but it's too far for Steph. So we went to Glorietta instead. My oh my. I miss Glorietta. Haven't been there in a long time. :S

Anyway, we had lunch at KFC (one of the stalls in the MRT station). After that, we bought tickets for Baler. But we were 2 hours early so went to Time Zone first... then strolled around a bit. Then entered the cinema around 2:30 pm with Quickly drinks in our hands. Hehe. :)

The show is quite good. I could understand why it got so many awards. :) Really great story... And never realized that it could be a comedy too. Hehe. We were laughing for the 1st half. Lolz... :D Some parts are just so hilarious. :D But in the end, Steph and I were so moved to tears that we used her scarf as tissue. Thanks Steph. :D

Went home afterwards... Awww... such a nice movie. :)

I wanna have these as well...

Price: around PhP 1,800

This palette is everything I would want in one palette! The 78 thumbnail shadows are high in pigment, and include matte, shimmer, and frosts. One can never go wrong because one has every color from its lightest tint, to the darkest shade. Also has larger sizes of most commonly used shadows, and complimentary blushes. The shadows have great longevity, and there is a lot of product in each color. This is great palette for anything from weddings to runway!

But they're not on my priority list. Those on my priority list are geeky stuff. Yeah, I'm like that. Though I'd rather buy a pharmacy or medicine-related book than a make-up palette, it'd still be great to have these in my collection. :)

Wishing for a make-up train case...

If you'd ask me about having one 3 years ago, I'd probably raise my eyebrow at you.

But now, I really really want one. :D

My make-up collection is grooowing. It's not a humongous collection. Not yet. But I want to be organized with it.

All my make-up are just in one plastic container. Though neatly arranged, I'd love to see them arranged in drawers... Thus the need for a make-up train case.

Cases may cost from $20 to $500 dollars. A Shu Uemura make-up case costs $450. My my... So expensive. But I've found really sturdy, pretty, and affordable ones. :D

Pro Rolling Pink Makeup Case

The ULTIMATE professional makeup case kit. A special edition Pink Alligator Skin Finish. It has compartments and trays that are convenient and endless. It has trays that you can pull up and out of the base to hold   brushes or pencils. A deep bottom big enough to hold your bottles and palettes. In line skate wheels for easy mobility. This case is a must have for the professional makeup artist.

* 2 Cases in 1
* High Quality Material w/ Pink Alligator Skin Finish.
* Reinforced Steel Corners for Extra Durability.
* Telescopic Handle with In-Line Skate Wheels.
* Extra Lid INCLUDED.
* Trays Lined with Stitched Vinyl Surface for Easy Cleaning.
* Heavy Duty Ergonomic Locks with Dual Keys.
* Adjustable Tray Dividers.
* Removable Tray w/ Dividers in Lower Storage Well
* Price: around PhP 7,800

** This is absolutely perfect. However, this is way too large. Besides, I'm not planning to be a professional make-up artist in the future. I just want the loot. Haha. :D In any case, I've found a smaller make-up case that will suit my needs.

Large Pink Crocodile Pro Makeup Case

* Beautiful New Silver Aluminum Finish
* New Handle for added Grip Comfort
* NEW Wider opening at top of case for easy access
* Deeper Compartments
* Upgraded Slider Feature for both Trays
* Removable Custom Tray Dividers
* Easy to clean Black Liner inside
* New Security Locks and Keys
* Superior Shoulder Strap
* Price: around PhP 3,200

** I think that this case is perfect too since it's very large and spacious and the trays can be moved to make spaces bigger or smaller. It can fit prolly more than 100 pieces of make-up. :D Plus, I love the color. :) Good value for money too! Oh... and one more thing, I could probably place my nail colors and other manicure/pedicure items too so I won't need a separate kit for them.

Now, if pink looks too feminine, the silver version is perfect for a sleek look.

But that's not all that I've found. I've found something even more affordable. :) And it's their bestseller!!! :D

The characteristics of #3 are: Expression, verbalization, socialization, the arts, the joy of living.

The expression or destiny for #3:
An Expression of 3 produces a quest for destiny with words along a variety of lines that may include writing, speaking, singing, acting or teaching; our entertainers, writers, litigators, teachers, salesmen, and composers. You also have the destiny to sell yourself or sell just about any product that comes along. You are imaginative in your presentation, and you may have creative talents in the arts, although these are more likely to be latent. You are an optimistic person that seems ever enthusiastic about life and living. You are friendly, loving and social, and people like you because you are charming and such a good conversationalist. Your ability to communicate may often inspire others. It is your role in life to inspire and motivate; to raise the spirits of those around you.

The negative side of number 3 Expression is superficiality. You may tend to scatter your forces and simply be too easygoing. It is advisable for the negative 3 to avoid dwelling on trivial matters, especially gossip.

Your Soul Urge number is: 6

A Soul Urge number of 6 means:
With a number 6 Soul Urge, you would like to be appreciated for your ability to handle responsibility. Your home and family are likely to be a strong focus for you, perhaps the strongest focus of your life. Friendship, love, and affection are high on your list of priorities for a happy life. The person with too much 6 energy often finds that people tend to take advantage of this very giving spirit. You may tend to repress your own needs so that you can cater to the demands from others. At times, there may be a tendency in this, for becoming over-loaded with such demands, and as a result become resentful.

Your Inner Dream number is: 6

New Year's Celebration (January 01, 2009)

First 14 pictures are those featuring what we had for Media Noche. :)

The rest were taken during the afternoon. We had a street party... but in our garage. Haha. :D Almost everyone was there... Basta, yung mga kababata ko... halos andun lahat. :) Parang reunion.

Most memorable New Year's celebration. Kasi naman, kahit na nagmigrate na sa Canada yung iba naming neighbors, umuwi sila dito just to celebrate New Year!!! :D

Happy New Year! And sana mas marami kami after 5 years. :)

Bonding with Steph (December 29, 2008)

This was supposedly a Girls' Day Out with Julie, Eizel, and Steph. However, Julie is not yet back from the province and Eizel has another engagement with her high school friends. :)

The reason for this date was to give Steph the statement tees to be delivered within UP Diliman area. :) But Steph wanted to have her hair relaxed so I accompanied her...

I was excited to see her again... Ang tagal na rin kasing hindi nagkita since December 18. Haha. Anyway, nagkwentuhan at naglibot muna kami sa SM Megamall. Then had lunch at Foodcourt. Tapos went to Globe. Taught her how to GCash. First time nya... and success! :D

Then we went to look around the salons at the mall... but they're waaaay too expensive. So we went to Baclaran... May Index Salon kasi dun where my sister and mother had their hair rebonded. Eh okay naman ang service. Naligaw kami sa pagpunta. Haha. :D Ang landmark kasi namin ay McDo. Eh marami palang McDo sa Baclaran. Oh well... it was such a relief when we got there. Buti na lang at maayos ang service nila and the people are quite nice. :)

Ayaw ng salon na irelax ang hair ko kasi baka masira lang daw... So pinacellophane ko na lang. I'm so happy coz it's shiny and it's like it has a life of its own. :) Steph's hair is super straight na rin. Ang cute lang talaga. :) Went home afterwards. Such a nice day!

I want a Lilash!

I've got this problem about my horrible eyelashes. They're so short and thin -- so unlike the hair that grows on my head. *sniff*

Anyway, I think I've found the best eyelash growth stimulator. According to reviews, it's the best and safest so far in the market. And it really works well -- with fast results coming at 3 weeks after continuous usage. It makes the eyelashes grow longer, thicker, smoother. No need for eyelash extensions, isn't that great?

The problem is it's way tooo expensive for me. And I don't have a way to purchase it abroad. :(

On Lilash.com, they're marketing it at $139.97 = PhP 6,600.00. Damn. Way too expensive. That's like a semester's worth of tuition already. *sigh* But I really really want one. If only I could get my hands on these... ^___^

Cheers pour une heureuse 2009!

January 1 is a day full of hope. A good day thus deserves a good start. Waking early as always, I sit in front of the dining table with a pen in hand. My Belle de Jour planner is open. Leafing through the so many colorful-but-still-blank pages, I realize that I, the most organized person you’d ever be acquainted with, do not have any idea what is really in store for me this year.

I am the type of person which plans ahead. What probably got me through 2008 is the way I planned my life. I’m quite proud to say that I’ve positively influenced a handful of friends to be as organized as possible. Anyway, even though I’ve had a great 2008, I want to make 2009 as grand and fabulous as possible.

This year gives me a great chance to become a better person. Actually, not just me… All of us have this chance to make things better, right?

At the start of every year, I write a list which is my commitment to myself to make some projects, reform habits, change my lifestyle, etc. It’s probably what everyone calls a new year’s resolution. I’m sure a lot of people don’t believe in making this one for so many reasons. But heck, allow me to share some of mine.

Whenever I hear a joke, I will laugh… no matter how corny. Ang pagpapatawa is a serious business, as I’ve said in my blog last year. Believe me, a person trying to make you laugh is really putting an effort just to see you smile. So show how much you appreciate, even the smallest effort. Laugh. And honestly, the corniest jokes are the best. Okay, I’m corny. Hehe. So what?

I will (try to) balance my checkbook (on my nose). Really, I’ve had several attempts on this one… but not one lasted the whole year. But this year, I have to do this. Just so I know where the money goes. And with this comes the never-ending mantra of “save save save!”

I will not be a worrywart. Worrying is really a bad habit of mine. I know it’s a sin, but I just cannot help it. I worry about this and that… I worry about food, makeup, family, friends, dogs, and virtually about anything under the sun. But I have to stop this if I don’t want fine lines in my 20s.

I want to strengthen my relationship with family, friends, and God. And I will do anything just to achieve this. I want to make them feel that I love them and that I respect them… and I want to thank them for all the things they’ve done for me. Building relationships is not an easy task. But with God, I think I’ll be able to do this just fine.

And the last that I want to share is…

I will give up chocolates totally. 100%. Completely. Honestly… Not! :D
