I will be here...

To you...

For the more than 4 years of being together...
For the happiness...
For being my inspiration...
For being you...

This song is for you... for us. :)

Tomorrow mornin' if you wake up
And the sun does not appear
I...I will be here

If in the dark we lose sight of love
Hold my hand and have no fear
'Cause I...I will be here

I will be here...
When you feel like bein' quiet
When you need to speak your mind
I will listen
And I will be here
When the laughter turns to cryin'
Through the winnin' and losin' and tryin'
We'll be together
'Cause I will be here

Tomorrow mornin' if you wake up
And the future is unclear
I...I'll be here

Just as sure as seasons are made for change
lifetimes are made for years
I...I will be here

I will be here....
You can cry on my shoulder
When the mirror tells us we're older
I will hold you

And I will be here
To watch you grow in beauty
And tell you all the things you are to me
I will be here

I will be true
To the promise I have made
To you and to the
One who gave you to me

I...I will be here

And just as sure as seasons are made for change
Our lifetimes are made for these years
'Cause I...
I will be here....
We'll be together...
..forever...

'Cause I will be here

I know that you will be happy with her.
Take care and you know how much I love you. :)

Is it just me or is Multiply 4.0 really slow?

Oath-taking, Mafia Wars, and more...

Early this morning, I had my oath-taking ceremonies at the Board Room. :) I was with my Editorial Board and Chancellor Arcadio, Mam Simbulan, Kuya Homer, and Ate Penny were there.

As usual, masarap ang food na sinerve. Hehe. But more important than the food and the oath-taking were the issues discussed during the meeting afterwards. We were "briefed" with several activities that may interest the students. The whole meeting lasted for 1 and a half hours. Chancy was really so kind. He's so calm even when explaining about the PAASCU accreditation. So watch out for that bit in our next issue which will be released July 2.

There were other things discussed... and I'm happy. I think, if everything goes well as planned, this will be a great year for The Manila Collegian. :) May God continue to bless us. And may we reach out to more students. :)

My top agenda for this academic year is the regular release of issues. And that should be 2x a month. Another thing is the reconnection with alliances such as the College Editors Guild of the Philippines and the UP Solidaridad. Other plans include reestablishment of college publications and staff development through workshops and other skills trainings. :)

Whew! So many things to do but all for the love of The Manila Collegian. I can't believe it's my 5th year in the institution already. I'm just so happy that I'm still writing for the publication. :) Sabi ko naman noon na I'll be with the publication till I graduate. True enough. God is so good.

I'm thankful too that God blessed MKule with a wonderful staff--14 dedicated writers and artists all in all. And for that, we're the MAGIC 14. :D

Moving on, I'm happy too that I was able to check my Facebook and play Mafia Wars again. Hehe. Ang babaw ko.

Ang saya ko rin coz I was able to watch a few episodes from CSI Season 9 last night. Thank you Lord for the extra time! :)

That's all for now... I gotta do my homework. :) Cheers and good night everyone!

Show Hidden Files and Folders

Have you ever encountered a virus that automatically creates .exe files out of your existing folders in your USB flash drive?

Have you deleted them using an Antivirus?

And when you deleted them, were the folders all gone?

Just today, my sister was crying because my brother deleted the viruses in her flash drive. She was so horrified when she noticed that all her folders were gone! She was crying for 30 minutes before I arrived. Luckily, I've encountered this scenario before.

First, I inserted the flash drive. Then on My Computer, right-click on the flash drive icon and click Properties. You will notice that the Used Space and Free Space meters indicates that you have existing files in your USB. But you can't see them, right? So that means they're hidden.

So what I did was EXPLORE the flash drive. Went to TOOLS>>FOLDER OPTIONS>>VIEW. Then in that tab, I looked for the "Show hidden files and folders." Selected it and clicked APPLY. Nothing happened. So my initial suspicions were confirmed. This is really the work of a virus which does something to the registry.

So here is what I did to restore it back. There are so many methods to restore back the registry but this is my favorite method. :)

1. Click START.
2. Click RUN or press Windows key + R.
3. The RUN window will appear. Type regedit. Click OK.
4. Find the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
5. Look at the “CheckedValue” key… This should be a DWORD key. If it isn’t, delete the key.
6. Create a new key called “CheckedValue” as a DWORD (hexadecimal) with a value of 1.
7. The “Show hidden files & folders” check box should now work normally.

And with that, I was able to save the day. :)

So many news...

I can't believe my last real entry was written May 15. Haha! I have been so busy with so many things that I was not able to find time to blog about my life. So much for trying to preserve history.

Last summer was the best I have had in years. I was able to go into a summer immersion with a community in San Andres. I attended the UP Solidaridad's workshop aka Pubpalihan 2009. I spent most of my time with Tito Raff and Tita Wilma who visited the country last May. I spent a lot of time with family. I went to Tagaytay and had a 4-day unplanned vacation.

And then when it was almost June, I started to become busy again.

Last May 30, I was selected as the new Editor-in-Chief of The Manila Collegian. The exam lasted almost 5 hours... and after that, the results were released immediately. I was so surprised with the results because I was not expecting that I will top the editorial exam. And since then, I have become busy with press work and everything else MKule-related. Btw, I am encouraging UPM students to submit Letters to Editor via email to themanilacollegian@gmail.com.

Watch out for our UPM Student Planner for Academic Year 2009-2010 to be handed out to our freshies during their Welcome Assembly on June 16 at the Fleur-de-lis Theatre. :) Also, our first issue will be released on June 15.

On another note, I am amazed by number of visits my site received due to my posts about hacks. Hehe. It's quite amazing that I am somehow famous because of that. Thank you for all the subscribers... and to others who help other players out there too. Hopefully, Pet Society won't go into maintenance as often as they do now so that we could publish the new hack for coins and for Playfish cash. :D

We then had lunch at Bacolod Chicken Inasal. Then we went around and around then went to Food Court to order some desserts.

Then Tita Wilma called to say that we need to go to Tagaytay ASAP. We didn't have time to go home to get some clothes so we bought our stuff at the hypermarket.

After a few hours, there comes the car from Tagaytay. And then... we were on our way. Not knowing that we'd be having a 4-day unexpected trip. Hehe

Stayed at the Food court for a long time till almost closing. Hehe. So many long talks and chikahan... So many fun moments with cousins. :)
