First of all, A Very Merry Christmas to all of YOU!
I'm so sorry for posting very late about my Christmas. :P
Anyway, my Christmas was quite good. Better than last year. ;)
By the way, I've completed the Misa de Gallo and I made a wish. (Hope it would come true!)
On the last day of Misa de Gallo, our group, instead of having puto bumbong at Bubi's house like we routinely did, decided to eat something different. Neil managed to grab a large can of corned beef and they planned to eat it straight from the can. Seky and I decided to cook it for them. I asked Seky to help me... and 30 minutes later, it was done!
The boys actually bought additional corned beef and 2 loaves of bread. And, would you believe how fast they ate it? Within 5 minutes after the bowl was set on the table, not a trace of it could be seen. :D The corned beef with garlic, onions, and potatoes was nowhere to be found. It all went to their stomachs. Hahaha! Twas funny! It's so nice to cook for guys. :P
Anyway, Mariah and I made Pastillas de Leche, on the night of December 23, as give-aways for the G-Unit Net Cafe people. I'm sooo glad that when it's time to give them all away, they disappeared so fast. Not a trace could be seen. :D We're actually going to make another batch for the New Year!
There were so many other things that happened but I don't have much time to post all of them...
Yesterday, December 29, G-Unit Net Cafe had a DotA Tournament Year Ender. Only 4 teams competed but it was quite fun because everyone learned lots of new things! Jam's team won! Anyway, everyone was super filled with food because my mom prepared this delicious sandwich with ground beef as spread. Then we had softdrinks for everyone. Yesterday was really really really tiring!
I still haven't managed to do all of my school work. I'll be damned! :( The holiday break is sooo short! Time flies sooo fast. I don't even have the time to notice it, eh!
*sigh*
This time... I wish that there's more than 24 hours in a day.
So yeah... I'm wishing everyone the best for the coming new year! And may all of us have a merry and prosperous start for the year ahead!
God bless to all and let me greet you all an advanced Happy New Year! Ciao and much love! mwah!

It was my birthday last December 17 and I would like to thank everyone who made my day really special.
I actually didn't host any party that was customary for someone celebrating their 18th birthday. :) I just stayed at home and had fun. :)
By the way, thank you to all those who greeted me! Thank you for making my day!!! ^__^
I woke up really early that day since I'm attending the Misa de Gallo. After that, Jongi, Mikey, Mariah, and I went to Mommy's house since she invited us in for breakfast. I ate really loads that morning! I had puto bumbong with Lipton tea (not iced tea) and bread with Swiss Miss chocolate. So yummy!!!
Then, we watched I am Sam which starred Sean Penn and Dakota Fanning. Darn... It's one of my fave movies of all time! During the start, I was already crying my heart out! And that went on till the end of the movie.
I slept later and darn... my eyes were all swollen when I woke up and it was sooo funny that I looked like a Chinese with slit eyes. ^_^
After that, I just stayed here at G-Unit Net Cafe. We were supposed to have dinner out that night but it was cancelled because Mommy (read: Papa's mother) and Trisha were still out and they came home late. So I just asked them to cancel the dinner thingie and just rest coz we're still going to Misa de Gallo later.
Mama just bought pancit and dinuguan and lechong baboy! Hehehe. Twas yummy.
Thanks to all those who gave me gifts. I appreciate everyone of them. :)
*hugs and cheers to everyone*

Yesterday, February 15, was a really busy day for me!
During the day, I was up studying for my Pharm 21 exam later that day. The Manila Collegian Christmas Party was also set at 6 pm. :D
The day before, I asked Mikey to come along with me so that I have someone to go home with. I wasn't allowed to stay overnight for the party. Besides, I really can't because I'm going to attend the Misa de Gallo. It would be my first time in 18 years to actually attend it. Misa De Gallo is a dawn mass that starts at December 16 and lasts for 9 days until December 24. :D
Anyway, I also mentioned to Bubi that I'm going to Kule's Christmas Party. And everything happened so fast that it was set that he's going with Mikey and me. Lolz. (He invited himself. :P)
So we were all set to meet at G-Unit Net Cafe at 2pm. I was sooo suprised when Bubi messaged me saying that he's already at G-Unit at exactly 1 pm. Talk about being excited! ^__^
We left G-Unit at exactly 2 pm and we got to school at around 3:30 pm. It was really traffic! It was Bubi's and Mikey's first time to go to UP Manila and I'm glad that they had no problems getting in. Hehehe. (That would mean they look like students of UP Manila.)
My test started at 4:30 pm and I asked Bubi and Mikey to go to Robinson's Place first to kill time. They ate at Wendy's and they also looked around. They went back to College of Pharmacy at around 6 pm. Then, Mikey decided to buy a shirt. I helped him choose a shirt at American Boulevard. :D It's cool!
We then went straight to the Manila Collegian office and I introduced them to my colleagues. I changed first from my white med uniform to a black fitted off-shoulder top and baby pink pants. I dressed it up with pearls. :D
The party started... with food. Hahaha. We immediately attacked the dinner table there for the food. We had lasagna, chicken lollipops, garlic breads, brownies (c/o Megan), and softdrinks. We were sooo full after eating and the games started!
Our first game was Charades. Our group won! The next game was the Picture Perfect. The other group won. The judges for that game were Mikey and Bubi. I was sooo mad coz they didn't let my group win. Lolz...
After that, we just bummed around. The drinking session started and I drank a little. GSM Blue with strawberry-flavored water! Yumyum!
Bubi coudn't drink coz he's still going to serve at the mass. So we left Manila Collegian office at around 10 pm. We went straight to Baywalk! We just walked from the start to the other end. We listened to several bands on our way to the other side. After that, we were quite tired so we sat for a while.
Then we decided to watch Big Fish at Bubi's house. We went to G-Unit Net Cafe to ask permission from my mom. She didn't approve at first because we need to sleep. But then, Bubi persuaded Mama to allow us to go. :D
We went straight to Bubi's house and his mom was waiting for us. Oh gahd. She actually got mad because Bubi got home late and he didn't call just to say that he's okay. :(
It was really frightening.
Anyway, we were allowed to get inside. His mom told us it's better if we stay there in their home than to go out late at night. okay... I was just glad that we went home with Bubi because, if he went home alone, he might have been really fried.
We watched Big Fish and I actually slept during the first part. I was sooo feeling drowsy. I slept while Bubi was taking a shower. Mikey was sooo great! He didn't sleep at all! hahaha. He was there watching the movie religiously. It's a nice movie! It's fun and interesting!
After that, we all three went with Roarke to wait for a taxi. He's working at a call center somewhere in Buendia. Then, we went back home and Bubi played the piano. He's gonna master Pachelbel's Canon. He's almost done it anyway! ^__^
The next song I asked him to play was Because I'm a Girl by Kiss. He doesn't need the chords to actually play it. He does it by himself. Cool, huh?
We then left for church at 3:30 am. The church was almost full! And to think, the mass starts at 4 pm!
Good thing we still got a seat. The mass was quick. :D There and it was really great! There were lots of people there! I saw loads of my friends there. Hahaha. After the mass, we got the Puto bumbong that we had reserved earlier.
Puto bumbong is a purple-colored native delicacy that is intended for the Filipino Christmas. It is a purple-colored dish cooked in standing bamboo or metal tubes attached to a steam-producing tin can or cylinder mounted on a small saucepot of boiling water or steam. Then, they are removed from the bamboo tubes, spread with butter and sprinkled with sugar and niyog (grated coconut). They are then wrapped in wilted banana leaves which will keep them warm and moist until ready to be eaten.
Gosh. Puto bumbong is the best!!! I LOVE IT! We all do! Actually, Bubi bought 3. Mikey and I only bought 2. ^__^ We ate at Bubi's house and it was sooo delish!
Bubi ate 2 of his and Mikey and I only ate one. It was super filling that's why we only managed to eat 1. We gave the rest to Mama. :)
We got home at around 6 and I slept until 7:30 am. Tita Olive sent her driver to our home because I still had to revise something there. I finished at 10 am and then I went home. I slept till lunch time. Sinampalukang Manok is for lunch. Yumyum! I slept again after that and woke at 6 pm. I was sooo surprised that the sun was already gone. OMG.
Anyway, I want to say thank you to all those people who greeted me Happy Birthday in advance! I can't name all of you because you're already a lot... Besides, I'm afraid that I might miss out a name or two. Lolz. You know who you all are anyway.
Thanks again! :D

I'm part of the choir for the Youth Mass today at Holy Eucharist Parish Church.
Every second sunday of the month, we hold a Youth Mass in honor of the youth. ^__^
We're so blessed that we were chosen to be the choir for the Youth Mass this month of December. We actually had our first practice last November 29. And after that, our next practice was just an hour before the mass today. Luckily, everything went well.
It was my first time to do the Responsorial Psalm. And I also did some second voicing on some songs like "Alleluia." It was actually Bubi who taught me how to do the second voicing. The songs we're using for the mass are mostly his version anyway. Hahaha. I'm sooo glad and thankful to the Lord our God that He answered our prayers for a successful choir.
Throughout the mass, I was kinda nervous because it would be like my first time in ages to actually sing again. Well, not really. But still... there's the fear factor that I'll be doing sooo many things for the first time. And mistakes aren't really welcomed that time. hahaha. Good thing that everyone was sooo encouraging so everything went smoothly. Bubi was actually more panicky than I am. He's like sooo restless.
Anyway, after the mass was a Christmas Party with the YFC, SIGA, SFC, and CYM. Mikey, Mariah, and I left early because we need to manage the shop for my parents were to attend a college class reunion of my dad. Turns out, they didn't go. Sayang!
Bubi followed shortly with his friends. They're going to play again here. Anyway, I have lots of things to do!
I've got to finish 2 problem sets for Chemistry and for Pharm 21 both due on Monday. I'll be submitting a written report on Pharm 21 lab that is due on Wednesday. I also have a departmental exam on Chemistry on Wednesday and Pharm 21 Lec on Thursday.
Manila Collegian Christmas Party is on Thursday.
Tomorrow, I have a typing job again.
Though I feel busy, I feel really blessed because God gave me enough time to seve other people. :)

First, Bubi's operation was a sucess! :D Yey!
He actually got the chills last Friday because he still went out to school that morning. Tsk tsk.
Anyway, he's fine now. Thanks to all those who prayed!

I watched Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros last Saturday. That was after our NSTP class. :) Well, I should say this first. The movie is NOT a gay film!
Maxi is expressly gay at his young age. This is not a secret from his father and two older brothers who are pushed to peddle stolen mobile phones due to poverty. It is up to Maxi to care for his family, but the small-time criminals get in hot water and start vexing Victor, the handsome young policeman Maxi is fond of. Will Maxi choose first love over family?
So, what can I say about it? It's nice!
What I like about it:
- The storyline was very unique. It's not like any other typical Filipino movie which features teenyboppers falling in and out of love. This one is actually about the life of a teen gay in the slums area of the Philippines. He was openly gay and his family respected his sexuality. He's also committed to his family, consisting of his two older brothers and his father, who were small time criminals. It really shows the slum life here in the Philippines in a lighthearted manner.
- The funny scenes. It's not an all too serious a movie... It's comical and lighthearted in a way. :D
- Nathan Lopez, who played Maximo Oliveros, is a great actor! He's really convincing!
- It's not a gay film and it does not make fun of the gay character. Kudos!
- There's more... but that would spoil the film for you. Hahaha. (As if I really didnt. :P)
What I don't like about it:
- The lighting is very very bad.
- The sounds too. Bleh. (The characters couldn't be heard at times.)
- The background music which sounds like a broken ukelele.
Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros has a really nice storyline and you should see it for that. :) Promise. Besides, it's a multi-awarded film locally and internationally... Won't that make you more interested? :P
